Building the Infrastructure That Transforms Rural Communities

Rural development is central to Cameroon's territorial equity agenda. IEG's Rural Development discipline addresses the multi-sector infrastructure needs of rural communities — combining road access, potable water, electrification, and community facilities into coherent, phased development programmes that are anchored in local realities and aligned with national planning priorities.

Our teams operate across Cameroon's ten regions, working with MINADER, MINEPDED, and local councils to design infrastructure that is technically sound, community-appropriate, and maintainable over the long term. We understand the challenges of remote site logistics, limited local capacity, and seasonal access constraints that characterise rural project delivery.

  • Agricultural and rural road design and rehabilitation
  • Potable water supply and borehole infrastructure
  • Rural electrification design and solar microgrid solutions
  • Community facilities: schools, health centres, markets
  • Rural drainage and erosion control works
  • Environmental and social impact assessments
